Artist Statement

My ceramic work is inspired by Japanese manga and its circulation through cyber-culture, while exploring issues and subjects surrounding gender, production, nostalgia and girlhood both in the Anime-arts Industries and within aspects of my own life. I incorporate these bigger ideas into my work through graphic and colorful surface decoration using Japanese visual culture as a topic or theme for my 3D forms.
